How can I build a team while working remotely?

Tired of virtual happy hours? Bored with the latest wear your funniest hat zoom calls? virtual bingo not quite cutting it?

Find a new approach with Competition Dojo. We are creating fun, engaging activities for people of all fitness levels and now we are bringing the competitive fun to the corporate space as well. We have created a platform for virtual team building during isolation and beyond. Our events are accessible by design. We are not focused on the upper 10% of amazing athletes and ripped bodies. We are the competitive fun and fitness solution for the rest of us!

Our corporate approach is simple. Organizations can sign up with Competition Dojo for a pack of subscriptions to our virtual events. Employees can then connect themselves to those subscriptions and they will receive a set of events each month.

Some events will be familiar and others will be new. We keep the variety high and the focus on trying new things and having fun as a key component.

One month we might ask you to go bowling. The next month we might push for a 5K run or a round of darts or ask you to learn to juggle a soccer ball. It's all over the map and that's what makes it fun.

We are committed to finding activities that spread the success throughout an organization. Some people will be good at agility events, others at strength and others at stamina, but we are throwing all those together into our subscription plans and asking people to get off the couch and maybe get a bit outside their comfort zones.

When you look at the world of Virtual team building challenges and remote team activities you will soon discover that the ones that actually have the best results with creating teaming are often the ones that bring vulnerability. Getting people into activities that are fun but where they might not be rock stars is a great way to bring people together. Steve in accounting might be a great runner but how will he do at throwing darts or shooting free throws? Jill in finance can burpee with the best of them, but has she ever tried disc golf?

With our subscriptions we are enabling corporations to compete internally as members of teams, individually as members of the corporation and they still get the full ability to see where they rank against the rest of the world.

  • How did the HR team do compared to Accounting?

  • How did I as a member of our corporate Marketing team do against the company at large? How did I do against my Marketing team members? How did I do against everyone inside our corporation and out?

  • How did I do against a specific age/gender grouping?

  • Who else in my area ranked higher?

  • After 12 months how do the average rankings of the Operations team compare to our IT team?

  • How does our company rank compared to that other company across town?

We will enable your employees to slice and dice the data however they choose. We want folks to be able to compete at many levels through our events and we want them to be able to see that competition across many different types of events.

Think of the ways Competition Dojo can bring your team together...

When each monthly event is announced...

  • While we don't encourage trash talking, a little friendly competition between departments can be fun. Maybe Accounting thinks they have a few ringers in their group for the cornhole event? or Sales thinks they have a leg up in the 5K. Let your voices be heard and then lets see where you rank.

  • Each member will be able to see the others in their team and know if they have submitted their results. A little encouragement along the way certainly won't hurt.

  • Maybe as a team leader you challenge yourself to submit your results first and post your evidence video internally.

When the results are in...

  • You will have access to evidence pictures and videos that are sure to bring a smile to the full team.

  • Each employee will be able to review their results as individuals and as a team

  • Each corporation will also be able to compare themselves against other corporations. Please tell me that doesn't get your competitive juices flowing??

We are all in this thing together and it sure doesn't look like it will be ending any time soon, but we have got to break out of the boring zoom team building... no more group happy hours where we compare pictures of our pets. Let's get off the couch and compete!
